Mindfulness has become a buzzword in the world of health and wellness, and there are many who are practicing mindful living religiously. Mindful means to become conscious or aware of something and by practicing mindful living, you can become aware of yourself, your emotions, thoughts, and feelings.

Here are some amazing tips to live life mindfully.

1. Spend ‘Me Time’

We are usually engaged in fulfilling our duties towards our family, friends, work, etc. But amidst of all this it is necessary to spare time for yourself. Spend ‘me time’ daily for at least for 10 minutes as it helps you to connect with the Self better. You can engage in mindfulness meditation or do things that you love doing.

2. Eat Mindfully

When it comes to having our meals, we usually skip breakfast, slog the food down, over-eat, or simply eat mindlessly without paying attention to our food. In order to live a mindful life, you need to taste, smell, and feel your food. Eat slowly, keep the distractions away, and do not skip the scheduled meal.

3. Embrace Yourself

We keep on complaining about things we don’t have and continue to obsess over it. But, have you ever embraced and enjoyed those things you have. It is important to appreciate the blessings you get. Try to accept all those things that you can’t change, feel confident, and satisfied.

4. Meditate Daily

Meditation is one of the great ways to balance the body, mind, soul, and its emotions. Practicing it daily increases energy, brings inner peace, happiness, and positivity. Mindful meditation obtained from the Buddhist teachings is a great method to try and one popular form of meditation. You can practice it daily for at least 10 minutes.

5. Identify Your Thoughts, Emotions, and Feelings

Thoughts, emotions, and feelings play an important role in keeping the mind healthy. It is important to maintain a balance of the motions, identify our feelings and label our thoughts. Becoming aware of these shall helps you to be more conscious and would bring you to the present moment. It also helps you to become a more positive person.

6. Observe Your Breath

One of the main aspects of mindful living is to observe the breath and sync it with the movements. Breathing is important and paying attention to the breath helps you to control the mind and body. Breath control also makes you momentarily free from fear, sorrow, worries, unwanted thoughts, etc.

7. Get Connected with the Senses

For mindful living, it is necessary that you get connected with all the five senses- smell, touch, taste, sound, and sight. These things create a pathway to be in the present moment, bring the attention to life, to the daily chores, and let you experience tranquillity and harmony.

8. Watch Your Actions

In the hustle bustle of the life, we are always in a rush from morning till the night. To live the life mindfully, you need to stop and watch what is happening around you, watch your actions, feel the sounds and pause to appreciate things. These little gestures fill with energy, satisfaction, and happiness.

9. Live Life and Let It Go

Life is very precious and we get only one chance to live it. But in the fast-paced life, we forget to enjoy and have fun and keep on running the rat race. For mindful living it is essential that we should be grateful for our lives and try to live it to the fullest. The other thing that keeps us apart is holding onto something. Though it is hard to convince yourself to let go of the thoughts or people, with yoga and meditation, you can do so.

10. Take A Break From Technology

Technology has made things easy, but at the same time, it is taking a toll on our personal life and health. So get yourself a digital detox, especially while spending ‘me time’, having meals, on a walk, spending time with others, etc.
